Kim Lembo is known for her boisterous sense of humor, a passion for wine and food… and an incomparable CV, in which she has repeatedly introduced innovative technologies into surprising new domains.

Kim, Ripcord Co-Founder and VP of Marketing, spoke recently with the Association of Records Managers & Administrators (ARMA) Silicon Valley Chapter meeting. Against the backdrop of her history at NASA and elsewhere, Kim discussed how Ripcord is disrupting their records management industry through the introduction of robotics and artificial intelligence.

Ripcord is of keen interest to ARMA’s members, who include the records and information managers, archivists, compliance officers and legal teams Ripcord was founded to help. Not surprisingly, Silicon Valley chapter members include many early adopters of new, cutting edge records management technology. As their guest speaker, Kim explained how the same technology used for the self-driving car is being used to modernize the records management space.

There is no substitute for hearing this story from her in person, but it may be a few months before she delivers this presentation again—as you may notice in the photo, Kim was accompanied by her son Byron, born not long after this talk.
